JAMES FREW BACKS THE ANTHONY QUINN MEMORIAL TRUST
26 March 2012
James Frew Ltd is the first company to make a donation to a new charity - The Anthony Quinn Memorial Trust, known as the AQ Trust - since its official launch last week. The Trust has been established by members of Irvine Housing Association. James Frew, who are contracted to carry out the Association's kitchen and bathroom work, made a £300 donation to the charity after hearing of its launch from staff.
Sandy Clare, Finance Director, presented Charity Trustees, Nicola Thom, Executive Director (Operations) and Janice Quinn, Senior Housing Officer, both of Irvine Housing Association, with the cheque at the company's Stevenston office.
Sandy said, "We heard from staff last year that the Association was assisting Janice in setting up the AQ Trust in memory of her son, Anthony, who died suddenly in 2010. We are delighted to be able to offer our support to the charity as it will be helping people in the Ayrshire area. We're delighted to be the first of the Association's contractors to make a contribution since the charity's official launch."Janice said, "Now that we have received official registration for the Trust, I am delighted that James Frew has made such a generous contribution. This money will be used to offer crisis support and practical help to people throughout Ayrshire."
