Am I Eligible for a Grant?​

Yes, many Scottish households can access grant funding through Home Energy Scotland or ECO4 schemes. We’ll check your eligibility during your free survey, and guide you through options like:

1. Home Energy Scotland grants and loans

Up to £7,500 (or £9,000 for rural households) to cover the cost of your heat pump system, plus an optional interest-free loan to cover the cost of installation.

2. ECO4 Scheme

Fully or partially funded systems for eligible low-income or vulnerable households.

3. Local authority retrofit programmes

Some councils offer additional funding to support decarbonisation of homes in their region. Ask us if your council is participating.

4. Energy Company Obligation (ECO+)

  • Air source heat pumps (or air-to-air heat pumps) extract heat from the outside air. They’re compact, easier to install, and more affordable upfront, making them a popular choice for most homes in Scotland.
  • Ground source heat pumps (or air-to-water heat pumps) collect heat from the ground using an outdoor unit and buried pipes. They’re extremely efficient year-round, particularly for larger homes with existing radiators or underfloor heating systems in place, but require significant outdoor space and a higher upfront cost due to the groundwork involved.
