What’s the difference between boiler care and boiler insurance?
Boiler insurance typically includes cover for unexpected breakdowns and repairs, while boiler care with service includes a preventative annual service to keep your boiler running efficiently.
Am I eligible for a boiler care from Home Plans by James Frew GasSure?
- Most domestic gas boilers up to 15 years old are eligible.
- Newer boilers can be cared for from day one.

A boiler health check is included as part of your annual service, and if you choose selected Home Plans by James Frew GasSure, it comes as a free boiler service included in your care plan. Yes, with Home Plans by James Frew GasSure, your boiler and heating system are covered for breakdowns, depending on your plan. That means if radiators, pumps or controls connected to your heating system develop faults, we can repair them as part of your care plan.
What happens if I have a boiler breakdown or boiler problems?
If your boiler breaks down or you experience boiler problems such as loss of heat, hot water or a sudden drop in boiler pressure, just call our 24/7 helpline. We’ll arrange for one of our local Gas Safe engineers to visit your home quickly.
With our boiler maintenance plans, you’ll get expert repairs, and on Silver and Gold plans, replacement parts and labour are included, with no unexpected costs.
