As part of our commitment to providing high quality apprenticeship opportunities, our James Frew Academy team have been out and about attending Careers Events.
Recently, Training Co-ordinator Elaine Kean and Gas Training and Compliance Manager Kevin Kidd visited Ardrossan Academy, Irvine Royal Academy and Garnock Community Campus to engage with children and young people who are interested in a career at James Frew. Kevin also attended a North Ayrshire Council employability event in Saltcoats Town Hall with 4th year Modern Apprentice Jonathan Taggart. This event was supported by young people across a range of secondary schools within North Ayrshire and others who are currently seeking career advice.
Elaine said: “Applications for our Modern Apprenticeship (MA) opportunities are always over-subscribed, and these events are a great opportunity for us to provide information on our MA programmes. Jonathan was able to share his journey first hand with some of the attendees and it was great to see him share his experience as Modern Apprentice in Plumbing and Heating.”
Kevin added: “We love attending career events and we are always very grateful to be able to share our James Frew Academy Apprenticeship Opportunities Thanks to Ardrossan Academy, Irvine Royal Academy, Garnock Community Campus and North Ayrshire for making us feel very welcome.”
