James Frew Ltd is working in partnership with Babcock to support two apprentices as they progress through their Managed Learning Programme (MLP) towards their ACS Gas qualification.
The partnership brings together the expertise of both organisations, with James Frew providing practical gas training while Babcock continues to invest in its apprentices. The two apprentices are gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced gas engineers, complementing their MLP and building confidence in a real working environment.
James Frew has extensive experience in domestic gas and commercial heating, supported by its own apprenticeship programme. With apprentices developing across the business, James Frew understands the importance of providing quality training and practical experience to the next generation of engineers.
Babcock apprentice Owen Biglie said:
“I’ve really enjoyed the training with James Frew. Everyone has been really helpful and willing to share their knowledge, and it has been great to get hands-on experience and learn from experienced engineers. It has given me a lot more confidence and helped me understand the practical side of the job alongside my MLP.”
