Roddy Frew said:

“I remember when I started back in 1990 Jim was regarded as our lead specialist. Sure, enough it didn’t take long, and I was sent with Jim to learn the skill set. I never quite managed the upside-down lead burning technique! Jim has been a loyal and hard-working employee who sets a very high standard, coupled with an excellent work ethic made him an exemplar employee, very much demonstrating the qualities of our James Frew Way.

He was a huge asset to the firm and can be very proud of his service and contribution to the company. I can’t believe he is now retiring, wishing him and his family all the best and hope he has a long and healthy retirement”

Jim McKechnie said:

“It doesn’t feel like 40 years, it’s gone by so quickly. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some great people during my time with James Frew and have seen the business grow and evolve enormously over the years.

I’ve always enjoyed the variety of the work and the opportunity to pass on some of the skills and knowledge I’ve gained throughout my career. Looking back, I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together as a team and grateful for the friendships I’ve made along the way.

As I retire, I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with over the years for their support, encouragement and camaraderie. James Frew has been a huge part of my life, and I leave with many happy memories. I wish the company and all my colleagues every success for the future.”
