Congratulations Coby

We are incredibly proud of Coby McCann, our talented apprentice, who took part in the 2025 Scottish Plumbing Apprentice of the Year Competition in the Copper Work section.

Held annually, this competition brings together the best plumbing apprentices from across Scotland, all demonstrating their skills and precision in a challenging, timed environment. Coby’s selection alone is a testament to his hard work, commitment, and the high standard of training provided through the James Frew Apprenticeship Academy.

Coby represented James Frew with professionalism and pride, showcasing the talent and potential that make him a credit to the company.

Lecturer Brian Thomson said,

Coby is a great lad, his attitude towards the competition and training beforehand was at high level! Coby represented James Frew with confidence, commitment, and professionalism—qualities that make him a real credit to both the company and the wider trade”.

Managing Director Roddy Frew added:

We’re incredibly proud of Coby and what he has achieved. Opportunities like this are key to developing the next generation of talent. Coby has shown what’s possible through hard work and commitment—he’s a great example of what our apprenticeship programme is all about.”

Well done, Coby!
