We were delighted to present Stephen Thompson with a watch to mark an incredible 25 years of service with James Frew.
Stephen began his journey with the company in 2001 as a Modern Plumbing Apprentice under the guidance of Robert Bell. Early in his apprenticeship, he was sent to the ERJV Hospital project in Edinburgh, arriving for an 8am start on a Monday morning, where he worked alongside Tim Killips and Cisco Baena.
Over the past 25 years, Stephen has built a wealth of knowledge and experience, earning the respect of colleagues across the business. In 2017, he transitioned from a hands-on role on the tools into management, where he has continued to make a significant contribution to the success of the company.
We would like to thank Stephen for his dedication, commitment, and hard work over the last quarter of a century and congratulate him on this remarkable milestone.
“It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some great people, learn from experienced colleagues and be involved in many successful projects along the way. I’ll always look back fondly on my time on the tools — it’s something I genuinely loved and took great pride in. But, as they say, you’re not a young pup forever! Moving into management in 2017 brought a new challenge and a different direction in my career, and I’m proud to have continued to grow alongside the business. I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with over the years for their support, guidance and friendship. It’s been a fantastic journey so far, and I look forward to seeing what the future brings.”
